And those lovely people to your left are my grandparents on their wedding day in 1956. 

I grew up going to their house on Hazelhurst Avenue nearly every day as a kid. I would spent hours making crafts, drawing, painting, and writing with them. From the start, they sparked a love of storytelling and creating in me which I continue to carry to this day.

After working in the events industry for ten years, I became frustrated with the lack of authenticity, intention, and creativity that went into the planning process. So much of the inspiration and design felt like it was lacking heart and story, mearly a copy/paste from one event to another.

I felt drawn to create something different.

Our goal at Hazelhurst Design Studio is for every celebration to feel personal, meaningful, and unmistakably yours. We love looking at linens and designing menus, but we also love to know why you're drawn to that shade of red and that you shared a lobster roll on your first date so it absolutely has to make the cut for the cocktail menu.

We aren't just planners, we are storytellers. I hope that you will do us the honor of telling yours.
